Yap & Sew: 3.5-Hour Sewing Hangout

A relaxed, social sewing session for people who already know their way around a sewing machine. Bring your current project, settle in, and make progress alongside fellow sewists.

Whether you're hemming trousers or finally tackling that project that’s been sitting on your shelf for months (no shame here!), this is your time to have some sewing fun, chit chat, and enjoy the process. We’ll have snacks and drinks ready, you just need to show up!

What’s included

• Sewing machines, a serger, a dress form and an ironing station
• Essential tools: threads, measuring tapes, rotary cutter, cutting mat, scissors, pins, clips, and more
• A shared stash of fabric remnants to dig through
• Snacks and non-alcoholic drinks

Good to know

Yap & Sew is a co-working session, not a class or a workshop. There will be no formal instruction, but you’ll be surrounded by makers who are happy to share tips and help each other out.

This event is for you if you feel comfortable with the basics, like threading a machine, sewing a straight seam, and handling simple troubleshooting. If you’re just starting out, we recommend joining a beginner workshop first, then coming back to enjoy this session.
